INFORMATION: IAVM Scholarship
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF VENUE MANAGERS VENUECONNECT ANNUAL CONFERENCE and TRADE SHOW SCHOLARSHIP
PURPOSE To provide a student who is interested in the public assembly facility management profession and/or a related field an opportunity to learn more about the profession and industry by attending the Annual IAVM VenueConnect Conference & Tradeshow. Also, it will provide the chance to network with practitioners within the field to learn of internship and job opportunities in the industry.
AWARD

Also, it will provide the chance to network with practitioners within the field to learn of internship and job opportunities in the industry.
AWARD
Recipient will receive $1000 upon picking up his/her registration at the University Venue Management Conference (UVMC) and /Annual Conference and Trade Show.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to a full time student attending a university or college within the state of Florida (or to a student who is a resident of Florida and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a university or college in a state other than Florida) with a major or minor in event, facility or sport management, arts administration, hospitality, tourism or a related field to the public assembly industry. Also open to a student who has demonstrated his/her interest through significant volunteer, internship and/or work experience in the field.
The recipient must be within three semesters of completing his/her under graduate or graduate program, or has graduated within six months prior to the UVMC and Annual Conference and Trade Show.

REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA
FVMA Scholarship Committee makes an exception with approval from the FVMA District he/she would be ineligible, unless the IAVM Foundation and/or an IAVM World Headquarters, IAVM/Annual Conference from VenueConect should the recipient have already been selected to receive a similar scholarship to attend the same.
The recipient must provide the FVMA Scholarship Committee Chair with a written copy of his/her registration within five (5) working days of receiving it.

Applications are due on or before April 21, 2022.
